Going out in the ATL- Black Keys concert
We had alot of company a while back. One of the events we did was to go see the Black Keys at The Tabernacle.
We had alot of fun. The Black Keys were awesome and put on a great show. However, their opening act Dinosaur Jr., was horrendous. The sound was turned up so high I thought my eardrums were going to explode. Ed said "I think I am getting old." Then he got up and walked out. Very funny.
But the funniest thing about Dinosaur Jr. besides the LONG, GREY hair was the drum kit.
Check it out.

IT'S PINK AND GREEN!!!!!!!
For such a horrible band, they have great taste in drum kits.
And here we are with our cheap beer waiting to be let upstairs to the balcony. (I do not stand for concerts if I can help it.)

4th Weekend
I really needed this break over the 4th. We left early on Wednesday, so Ed could play in the club tournament. There were so many speed traps between Atlanta and Jefferson I was about to have a fit.
I cooked and sat by the pool the whole time. Here are some pictures.

Ed after golf

Ed and his brother Clayton.
They played golf every day. I was on the edge of my seat watching Federer/Nadal this morning before we left. It was my in-laws anniversary and they said this was the best present they could have gotten, having us all together. I thought that was nice of them. Family is top priority as always.
Tagged
I was tagged awhile ago and have been to lazy to do anything about it. Jennifer is the one who did this to me. (Kidding).
Here goes the random facts.
1. I am a perfectionist.
2. I cannot stand incompetence and tardiness (but I was tardy with the whole tag thing, so I guess I should not talk).
3. I have only had one celebrity "crush" and that was Gwyneth Paltrow. She was staying at the Four Seasons when I got married. I saw Apple and Chris Martin too.
4. I have articles ripped out of magazines from 10 years ago.
5. I passed the Real Estate license test and never did anything with it.
6. I used to work for April Cornell, the weird hippie company that they were.
7. Ed has a III at the end of his name and if we ever have a kid it will have a IV at the end of his name. Being from a golf family, we thought we would just call him FOUR!!! (Kidding, sort of.)
And I am not tagging anyone else for reasons that don't really matter.

Red - but pink will always be my favorite
I am sitting here while I deal with the DirectTV guy for my in-laws. Everyone else is playing golf. So it is the perfect opportunity to shop online. But when is it not?
Red is my new thing for fall. Check these out. How fab!

I like these too.

I did buy another new pair of shoes, but those are secret for right now. I will say that they have red soles.

Supper Club - July 10
This is probably my last post till after the 4th weekend. But there is an event next week I wanted to make sure everyone knew about. It is Supper Club which benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The next event is Tuesday, July 10 at either ONE.midtown kitchen, TWO urban licks or TROIS.
Here is the blurb from the website.
Atlanta's Table Supper Club is a simple, easy, delicious way to help fight hunger in our communities and enjoy culinary delights from Atlanta's top restaurants and chefs at the same time! Created as a way to extend its partnerships with the restaurant community, Atlanta's Table Supper Club encourages friends, family and co-workers to participate in this monthly dining series by dining out at a specially selected restaurant on a particular night. Atlanta's Table receives 20 percent of the night's proceeds!
I have a reservation, but I think I have JLA that night. Thankfully, all the restaurants are close to where I live so I think we are going to go for drinks after my Nearly New meeting.
OpenTable is a quick way to make your reservation and start earning rewards. Plus, it is free.
